THE MEMORIAL TO DR MITCHELL/Sir Robert Lorimer

THE MEMORIAL TO DR MITCHELL.
The architect and designer, Sir Robert Lorimer, has
promised that everything will be leady for the unveiling
ceremony on 2nd February. This will take the form of
a Public Service, at 2.30 on that Sabbath. Dr Wallace
Williamson has very kindly offered to preach and to
perform the simple ceremony that is necessary.
Many friends of the late Dr Mitchell are expected to be
present, and invitations will be issued to the members of
the public boards on which he served with such fidelity.
Fuller announcements will be made in the Press in due
course.
It is expected also that the Rev. Prof. Cooper, of the
University of Glasgow, will take part in the Morning
Service on that day. He has long had a desire to preach
in our fine old church, and there can be no doubt that we
shall all be much the better of his visit to our midst.
