9 Nov. 1647.—George Gordan gave in a charge of horning to ye sessione preceptors of St. Anthons charging ym to infeft Wm Downie in ye arrable land qlk appertained to urnqll Adam Thomsone gardner to his comprysing qrof ye sessione are superiors, ordains to suspend ye charge.
(Note.—This minute shows the old method of Scots law by which a creditor attached the heritable property of a deceased debtor.)
