Heavy Work

H.M.S. ” Mediator,” another of the big tugs, went straight from the yard on a voyage of 14,000 miles continuous steaming. Of this distance 6000 miles were heavy towing, the longest being 3700 miles non-stop at an average speed of seven knots, a severe trial for a new ship.
