It’s a mystery that would stump even Sherlock Holmes: Why on earth are we letting Conan Doyle’s home fall into ruin?

He managed to solve some of the most famous crimes in history using nothing more than a magnifying glass and a contemplative pipe or three of tobacco. So it’s a pity he is not around to study this sorry little crime scene.
