Race for Life

Hello everyone,

Its been a while since I last home, hope you are all well. This is just a little email to let you know what I am upto with my life now, and hopefully lighten your wallets a little.

Having graduated last week with a 2:1 MA degree in Geography and International Relations I will be spending the next year working in Uganda for a small NGO called the Peace Education Trust. I will be working in a capacity building role, primarily as a fundraiser, writing funding applications to various bodies. This project is being organised through Voluntary Services Overseas’ (VSO) Youth for Development programme.

As part of this programme I have to complete various projects before I leave including a ‘Global Education Project’ which will link groups in the UK and abroad, I have also to fundraise £900. To do this I have decided to cycle from John O’ Groats to Lands End. I will to complete this journey in August of this year, without using any camp sites or hostels/hotels. I expect this to take around 12 days.

I would be extremely grateful if you would consider sponsoring me on this journey. All the funds raised will go to VSO and help organise more placemenst through which people can share their skills (an ethos similar to that of the Chipembi visits). On that note it was excellant to hear of Albert’s academic success and also nice to hear of the additional cows recieved by Chipembi.

Anyhow here is the address where you can sponsor me on my cycle

I wish you all the best

Many thanks
