The Great War Archive Submission Day

Do you have memorabilia from the First World War? Do you have a story to tell about a relative who lived through this historic event?

If you do, join us on 4th June 2008
11am-7pm
Learning Centre, Central Library, George IV Bridge, Edinburgh

We’ll photograph your items, or record your story. Your memorabilia will become part of a nationwide project to gather together and preserve, in digital form, everyday items which reflect the experience of soldiers on the front line and of the people on the Home Front.

Items that are of particular interest include letters, photographs, diaries, poetry, audio, film and other objects that originated during the First World War.

For more information please call 0131 242 8030, visit www.edinburgh.gov.uk/libraries or www.thegreatwararchive.org

Please note that all items submitted to the archive will be made available free of charge on the World Wide Web for educational use only. Owners of the items retain copyright.
