Germanic invaders ‘did not bring apartheid’ to Anglo Saxon Britain

The theory that Germanic invaders turned Anglo Saxon Britain into an apartheid society is challenged today.

Historians have been struggling to make sense of a paradox: DNA surveys of Britain today show around 40 per cent of people carry genes linked with a massive invasion of Germanic people – around half a million – into Britain during the early Anglo-Saxon period (430-730 AD). for more click here
