How hunger became a political issue

In January 1933, a 37-year-old mother of seven named Minnie Weaving, living on a new housing estate in south London, collapsed and died while bathing her six-month-old twins. The official cause of death was pneumonia: but the coroner noted that the real cause was starvation. for more click here
