ROOM Two of the British Museum in London, visited by five million people a year, is home to the medieval Europe collection.
It includes treasures such as the Limoges casket from France, an ivory triptych from Byzantium, and an early English citole, or guitar. Then there are 24 of the Lewis chessmen, dug up in a Scottish sand dune nearly two centuries ago. for more click here
