The “Castle of Stars” near Teba in Spain

Sir James Douglas lost his life fighting the Saracens in Spain during the Battle of Teba. He was carrying at the time the heart of Robert the Bruce which was recovered after the Battle and is now buried at Melrose Abbey. At South leith Church can be seen the Coat of Arms of Sir Robert Logan because he and his brother died along with Sir James Douglas and because of this the shield of the Logan Family shows three passion nails going through a heart representing the heart of Robert the Bruce.
