Zam8.jpg

Sir George Mckenzie here painted by an unknown artist after Sir Godfrey Kneller was the founder of the Advocates Library which later became the National Library of Scotland in 1925. He was loathed by many as the “Bloody McKenzie” prosecutor of the covenanters. He was a member of South Leith Parish Church.
