John Rhind

Born in Banff, he was the son of a master mason, and the father of sculptors William Birnie Rhind and J. Massey Rhind.
He trained under A H Ritchie in Edinburgh, where he remained for the rest of his career.

He produced much architectural sculpture in the capital, including the portrait heads on the Royal Scottish Museum (1859); sculpture on the Bank of Scotland, Bridge Street (1864-70); Fettes College (1864-70) and the SNPG (1891). for more click here
