Vainglorious revolution

IT HAS long been called the ‘Glorious Revolution’, the removal of the last Stuart king, James VII and II, in 1688. ‘Glorious’, in part because in mainland Britain, at least, it occurred peacefully. This was largely because the inadequate James surrendered his throne to William of Orange and Mary without even the semblance of a fight.for more click here
