Whatever happened to all the Clydeside rebels?

SINCE history is traditionally seen from the point of view of the rulers, Scottish history stopped in the middle of the 18th century with the second failed rebellion against English rule. The idea that history should be about all the people is relatively recent and certainly hadn’t filtered into my local comprehensive on the odd occasions when I bothered to turn up.
