All aboard for Waverley Line steam train revival

THOUSANDS gathered as the magnificent Lord Farringdon puffed out of Edinburgh’s Waverley Station for the last time.

At 5.16pm on Saturday, December 11, 1965, the iconic British Rail locomotive 60034 became the last regular steam engine to pass through the Capital, signalling the end of the golden age of the railways. for more click here
