The Library’s collections contain much material relating to the life of Scots both at home and abroad. Scots went abroad for a variety of reasons: exploration, missionary work, study, travel, emigration, tourism. In order to facilitate access to the wealth of National Library holdings, both published and unpublished, on the lives of Scots and their experiences overseas, we have produced a number of databases which bring together interesting material from the collections. All are searchable by keyword and browsable by date. Some are also browsable by author or by title. for more click here
