Calton Hill

Viewpoint and Monuments in the Centre of Edinburgh

Calton Hill overlooks the centre of Edinburgh with great views within the reach of everyone.
Calton Hill is just 100m high, and is at the east end of Princes Street.

At the top of the hill are an assortment of monuments.

From the top you can look right down Princes Street, view the Old Town and castle and Holyrood and Arthur’s Seat.

If you find your way to St James Shopping Centre at the east end of Princes Street exit the shopping centre at its eastern end via a footbridge over the busy Leith Street. Then just continue up hill on the other side.
