An unknown Warrior

I was looking at old photographs recently at St Thomas-Junction Road Church and came across a collection of Photographs entitled “St Thomas’s Parish Church Leith, Rev J.A. Fleming minister and Session 1908” mounted on a brown board and presumably had been framed at one time.

However on the reverse side of the picture was another picture of an unknown soldier of the period, date unknown. I thought if were possible to identify the soldier it would be interesting to hear from the family, After all he could be someone’s Grandfather, Great Uncle and it would be interesting to know if he fought in the First World War and did he survive? What happened to him? What is his story? Can anybody out there solve the Mystery? Let me hear from you!
